Linda
Linda Herron | CEO
Linda Herron is the founder of Women Sports USA®, a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating women’s sports history, empowering female athletes, and preserving the stories of women who helped shape sports across America.
A former NCAA Division I field hockey athlete and team captain at the University of Rhode Island, Linda understands firsthand the impact sports can have on confidence, leadership, teamwork, and opportunity.
With more than 40 years of leadership experience as a finance executive, entrepreneur, author, and advocate, Linda created Women Sports USA® to ensure the stories of women athletes, coaches, and trailblazers are recognized, celebrated, and never forgotten.
Linda is also the author of the Twins Mac & Madi children’s book series, which promotes teamwork, confidence, and positive life lessons for young readers.

Meet
Carol
Carol Spaziano |
Chairman of the Board
Carol Spaziano is a lifelong educator, coach, and advocate for girls and women in sports. A former collegiate basketball player at Rhode Island College, Carol built her career in Physical and Health Education while empowering generations of students through athletics, leadership, and mentorship.
Throughout her career, Carol served as a Dean of Students, Cooperating Teacher at Rhode Island College, and coach of basketball, softball, and Special Olympics programs. Her dedication to inclusive athletics and student growth helped expand opportunities for young athletes during the early years of women’s sports progress following Title IX.
Carol’s passion for education, teamwork, and empowering the next generation continues to leave a lasting impact on her community and the legacy of women’s athletics.
