Linda Herron | Executive Director
Linda is a passionate advocate for women in sports, bringing over four decades of expertise as a financial and business leader to the mission of Women Sports USA. A former Division 1 field hockey player and lifelong athlete, Linda blends her competitive spirit with deep professional acumen to drive impact and inspire others.

As a published author of the Twins Mac & Madi children’s book series—including Twins Mac & Madi Play Field Hockey and Twins Mac & Madi Get Sporty—Linda celebrates teamwork, resilience, and the power of sports in early childhood development.

Her professional insights have been featured by major outlets such as American Express, Lending Tree, and Daily Business News. A proud Rhode Island native and identical twin, Linda embodies the grit, passion, and purpose that fuel success both on and off the field.

Carol
Carol Spaziano |
Chairman of the Board
Carol Spaziano is a lifelong educator and athlete with a career rooted in Physical and Health Education. She has served as a Dean of Students, Cooperating Teacher at Rhode Island College, and coach of basketball and softball, including the Special Olympics. A former collegiate basketball player at Rhode Island College, Carol is passionate about student growth, inclusive athletics, and empowering the next generation through sports and education.
