She's also the author of Twins Mac & Madi (8 books), including Twins Mac & Madi Play Field Hockey and Twins Mac & Madi Get Sporty, inspired by her journey as an identical twin and a Division 1 field hockey player. A native Rhode Islander and lifelong competitive athlete is a proven formula for grit, passion and purpose that can power success in every arena.

Denise is a Hall of Fame athlete, coach, and lifelong advocate for women's sports. With over 60 years of impact across softball, field hockey, basketball, and volleyball, she has shaped generations through leadership, mentorship, and tireless advocacy for equity. A trailblazer in Rhode Island and beyond, Denise continues to empower young athletes with the values of confidence, perseverance, and fair play.

Carol Spaziano | Board Member
Carol Spaziano is a lifelong educator and athlete with a career rooted in Physical and Health Education. She has served as a Dean of Students, Cooperating Teacher at Rhode Island College, and coach of basketball and softball, including the Special Olympics. A former collegiate basketball player at Rhode Island College, Carol is passionate about student growth, inclusive athletics, and empowering the next generation through sports and education.
